Ethan Jaynes is an average college student, working as a network administrator for the chemical research department at his school. But this normal life comes to a startling halt, when Ethan and his girlfriend are both poisoned by a mysterious terrorist, and his girlfriend kidnapped. Ethan finds himself in a race against time to save the two of them by stealing the formula for a highly lethal toxin, stored on the data mainframe where he works.
With the government lingering just behind every turn, Ethan is forced to make a choice that will ultimately determine the success or failure of a future terrorist attack on high ranking government officials.

"Jack Potts"
Jack Potts is a "Ray Bradburian-style" short story set in the not-too-distant future. The nation's entry-level workforce has dwindled so far that the government is forced to take drastic measures.
Scientific discoveries provide the technology to change 10 year olds instantly into 20 year olds, making them ready to enter the workforce. In a world overladen with lottery games, a 'drawing' is held to determine which ten year old children must undergo the procedure. Jack Potts, at first okay with the process, comes to his senses and fights back when his daughter is chosen.
"Darling Daughter"
Darling Daughter is a suspenseful short story about a dysfunctional family that can't catch a break. Nick lost his job, Ann can't stop spending money, and their son, Clay, can't stand his teacher. In denial over a baby girl she can't bear, Ann buys everything in sight at garage sales. At one sale, she receives the Darling Daughter game.
After a family fight, Clay ends up playing the game in his room. Life events seem to be altered by the game, as women appear that change their lives.
